The Botanical Garden's Glow 'transports you to a world full of seasonal cheer, where all-new wonders and returning traditions await you': Hop aboard the Garden Express for a magical train ride. Take a family photo in front of our two-story tree bedecked with live poinsettias.Visit a lively town square filled with musicians and carolers. Decorate your very own gingerbread house with our full array of sweet treats. Let the kids pick out gifts for everyone at the charmingly kid-sized Treetop Shop. Enjoy classic holiday candies of all shapes and sizes from Mrs. Claus's Sweet Shoppe. See the lights shine brighter on Wednesday and Friday evenings, with extended hours and seasonal dinner specials. Grown-ups can shop at The Garden Store. Delight at the creative trees decorated by Affiliate Garden Clubs, and marvel at the amazingly whimsical gingerbread houses. Take the family skating on real ice at The Rink at Wade Oval.

Located in the Detroit Shoreway Arts District the gallery, formerly known as Wall Eye Gallery, is known for its distinctive look. Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute 11.14–11.16

Founded by the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) and presented by COSE, the Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI) is an award-winning business training program for visual, performing, literary, media and design artists. This results-oriented program is led by a faculty of business leaders, entrepreneurs and working artists who will teach you the fundamentals of how to start, grow and maintain a healthy business.

The 3-Day Workshop runs November 14 to 16, 2013 and will cover topics that impact an artist’s daily operations including:
Establishing SMART Goals
Forming an individual action plan
Defining your product or service
Protecting your rights
Building a marketing plan
Understanding consumers and researching markets
Building a communications strategy
Raising capital
Taxes and insurance
Accounting and Finance

Participants are provided with a comprehensive course book that includes resources and support materials on all topics covered.

Landscapes: Eileen Dorsey & Hilary Gent 12.13 5–7PM

This Wednesday, November 13th from 5–7PM, is the Opening Reception of Landscapes: New works by Eileen Dorsey and Hilary Gent, located at Gallery West, inside the Cuyahoga Community College west campus. The show includes over 30 paintings, six of which are one of a kind collaborative paintings!

Gallery West is located at 11000 Pleasant Valley Road, Parma, OH 44130 on the second floor of the library in the student services building. Parking is located in lot D.

International Sippin' with Cheikhou Ba 11.12, 6–8PM

If, like me, you regret meeting the Creative Fusion International artists only at their goodbye shows here's your chance at redemption. Join Art House for an evening of sculpting with their Creative Fusion International artist from Senegal, Africa, Cheikhou Ba. Cheikhou will teach participants how to create small sculptures using minimal, recycled materials. DON'T MISS the opportunity to meet Cheikhou and create something fun and different!

November 9th the good goat gallery celebrates their one year anniversary with Life in Color, an art show that tells stories...

Before humans could read and write, they drew everything for future generations, (religion, fashion, beliefs, rituals, etc). Art has always been an important tool to convey messages. Most of what we know about our past is due to art. Today, artists still like to tell a good story. For Life in Color, each work will display a colorful narrative, displaying a tale for viewers to read.

Studio Showcase: Lanza, Beckwith, Mastroianni 11.8

Mastroianni Photography and Arts will feature photography by resident studio-mates Frank Lanza, Lindsey Beckwith, as well as himself during the November and December Tremont Artwalks.

'All commercial photographers in our own right, we will be showing photography more personal in nature, but still related to our work. Frank Lanza will exhibit a recent travelogue series, as well as unpublished portraits. Lindsey Beckwith will sexy nudes from her boudoir work.
