Drawn & Quartered VII 5.15 @ HEDGE Gallery
Figure drawing as spectator sport? Four established figure and drawing groups will meet and draw against time and each other for the amusement of an engaged audience. Think World Wrestling Federation meets Art School meets Cabaret. Founded seven years ago by Deb Steytler and Juan Quirarte of The Murray Hill Life Drawing Group with the essential cooperation of Jason Tilk and Aaron Erb of Dr. Sketchy, George Kocar of the Northern Ohio Illustrators Society, Tim Herron of The Pretentious Tremont Artists and Dana Depew of Asterisk Gallery this year D&Q7 finds its home at Hilary Gent's HEDGE Gallery in the 78th Street Studios as part of May's Third Fridays.

Submission Information: The AAWR invites all photographers who currently reside in the USA to submit images using any photographic process (silver gelatin, digital print, alternative process, etc.) Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Only two dimensional work is eligible for admission.
ALL ENTRIES must be submitted online via Smarter Entry.
Presentation: All accepted prints must be professionally framed, wired and ready for hanging (Neutral matting only, glass or acrylic where applicable, frames must be in decent condition).
Size limitation for work is 8’ high, no limitation in width, weight 50lb. The AAWR retains the right to refuse any work not presented in a professional manner.
Eligibility: The Call for Entries is open to both amateur and professional photographers.
Entry Fee: The entry fee is $30 for the first 3 images. Additional images may be submitted at $10 per image. There is no limit on additional images.
Sales: AAWR charges a 40% commission on any sales.
Insurance: The Insurance of accepted artwork is the sole responsibility of the artist
Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony: Tuesday September 8, 6:30 – 8PM.
Awards will be presented in five categories:
Best in Show: $400
Best Black and White: $200
Best Color: $200
People’s Choice: $200
The People’s Choice Award will be based on popular vote taken during the opening reception. Come and vote for your favorite photograph.
Submissions open: April 1, 2015
Submission deadline: July 1, 2015
Notification of acceptance: Artists will be notified of the acceptance of their work the week of August 4, 2014.
