CLAY ON THE WHEEL [All Levels] with Gina DeSantis
Sooth your mind by throwing bowls or cups on the pottery wheel. If you are more advanced, try plates, lidded vessels or teapots. Classes are small to allow for individual instruction and to provide every student the opportunity to delve into their creative side. Become a part of one of the most popular programs at Art House!

Mondays 6:30 - 8:30pm, 6 weeks
Session I: Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct 4, 11 & 18
Session II: Oct 25, Nov 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29

Class fee: $150. Class fee includes: 25 lbs of clay, glazes, firings.

CLAY SCULPTURE with Mark Yasenchack
Clay is an incredibly versatile material, encompassing a rich history and a diverse range of applications. In this class, venture beyond the usual pinching, coiling and slab-building by learning new techniques with which to manipulate clay. Beginners will develop strong fundamentals; advanced students will unlock fresh creative possibilities.

Thursdays, 6:30 - 9:00pm, 5 weeks

SILK PAINTING WORKSHOPS with Peggy Wertheim 
SESSION I: THE JOY OF SILKS & PAINTS
Discover, enjoy and create fine radiant art on silk. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! An incredible artform where no mistakes can be made. Students will delve into and learn resist application, color blending, salt techniques, color discharge and paint applications to create a silk hoop and a silk scarf/silk painting frame.
SESSION II: SILK PAINTING EXPLORATIONS
These workshops are for new and continuing students. Create silk scarves and/or silk paintings to frame. Design ideas, books and handout packets provided.

Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30, 3 weeks
Session I: Sept 22, 29 & Oct 6
Session II: Oct 13, 20 & 27

Class fee: $60, plus a $25 material fee payable to Peggy the first night of class
