Legendary artist Meredith Monk will be in Cleveland this month to wrap up CIM's Mixon Hall Masters Series, Friday, February 21.
Celebrated internationally, her work has been presented by BAM, Lincoln Center Festival, Houston Grand Opera, London's Barbican Centre and at major venues in countries from Brazil to Syria. In 2012, she was named Composer of the Year by Musical America and one of NPR's 50 Great Voices. Monk has received New Music USA's 2013 Founders Award, a 2011 Yoko Ono Lennon Courage Award for the Arts and a 2012 Doris Duke Artist Award.
Join this extraordinary composer, singer and "pioneer of extended vocal technique" when she performs her own works--including selections from Songs from the Hill and Volcano Songs--in our intimate, acoustically opulent Mixon Hall at 8PM on Friday, February 21.
Order your tickets today by calling the CIM Box Office at 216.795.3211, or visit cim.edu.
