This Sat., Nov. 1st, 2014 Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) takes place in Cleveland Public Theatre Church and Parish Hall, Gordon Square Arts District from 11AM–10PM.
Official 'Ofrenda' artists: Nancy Cintron, Lori Lane, Mary Urbas, Samantha Meyers, Chris Hertle, Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network and the Immigrant Worker Project.
Outdoor Cemetery artists: Oliver App, Mark Jenks, Nina V. Huryn and Ted Olah, Ian Petroni, Robin VanLear, Robin Hernrich and Brothers, Rafael Valdivieso Troya and Cuyahoga Hts. High School.
Noon to 2PM: Ofrenda viewing and Music.
Line up at 3PM: Tepehuani Nelli, Cleveland Drum Circle, CMA giant puppets and more...
Parade at 3:30PM: Mariachi Santa Cecelia will play during the procession.
After the Parade: Tepehuani Nelli Dance Co. and others in Parish Hall.
This is a FREE EVENT: Food trucks, CPT cash bar outdoors; see the new amazing Altars and Cemetery installations; face-painting and crafts from 11AM–3PM. Vendors featuring Day of the Dead folk art, plus the traditional —and tasty—Pan de Muerto (BREAD of the DEAD!)
