The third annual Americana Music Fest 2008 promises some of the region's hottest roots-rock and alt-country talent and kicks off Thu 8/28 with a "Mix and Mingle Happy Hour" at Prosperity Social Club, followed by live music from Bobby Lanphier and the Bitter Disappointments. On Fri 8/29 there will be two gigs -- one at Sachsenheim Hall with headliners Rambler 454, and a "Songwriter Showcase" at the Hi-Fi in Lakewood. The Americana Music Festival wraps up on Sun 8/31 with headliner Deke Dickerson and the Ecco-Fonics, at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern. There will be a BBQ in the parking lot, and the Beachland's two stages will feature twelve local/regional bands. Jihan (Jenn) dances at 6:40 and again with Martiini 5-0 at 7:15PM.
