Arts Network Education Workshop

Please join the COSE Arts Network on Wednesday, September 22 for an evening of arts-business education and discussions at Art House, a community-based nonprofit arts organization located in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood. Local business leaders from Cavitch Legal Association will be on hand to discuss some business and contract basics that will help you with some of the day-to-day business activities of your arts career.

Following that, successful local artist Susie Frazier Mueller will lead a discussion about various distribution outlets for artists and creative professionals.

Come with your questions and your appetite—admission includes food and drinks!

Clear Signs is the newest exhibition of the Gordon Arts District’s Wall Eye Gallery. Showcasing 7 innovative and provocative Cleveland artists—from neon sculpture to abstract painting to politically-charged, conceptual installations and prints—this show is sure to dazzle the eyes and mind. Organizer and participant William Schwartz gave the artists no criteria beyond the show’s title of "Clear Signs." Says Schwartz, "I'm very excited to be showing with a few of my favorite artists, at my favorite new art spot in town. I can't wait to see what everyone brings to the table." Please note: Some material may not be suitable for children.

The cast includes the wildest acts straight from the East Coast’s most respected burlesque and sideshow houses, including the raunchy ragtime revivalist SABRINA CHAP, brain-boggling sideshow seduction by MISS PUSSYKATT, the devilish undulations of burlesque star PACO FISH, and hot new cherry-bomb burlesque siren MARLA MERINGUE!

Cinematic Redux 8.7 6PM—8:30PM

Cinematic Redux is a collection of contemporary works by artists across the U.S. presenting their interpretation of posters for classic films. The wide array of styles shows your favorite movies, like you have never seen them before. Cinematic Redux will open Saturday, August 7th 2010 in (art)ificial Gallery. An adult after party will be held at Mullen’s (located next to the gallery) for all guests of the artists and gallery.
