This year's event will have a 2-hour long pose, and nineto 20 minute short pose events. The drawing is fast, fun, furious, and extremely competitive with every artist utilizing all of their talent and tricks!

Teams include the Murray Hill Group with artists Deb Steytler, Juan Quirarte, Adam Pate, Ken Talley, Jeff Suntala, and Jack Flotte. Team Dr. Sketchy includes Dr. Aaron (Aaron Erb) and Dr. Jason (Jason Tilk) with artists Vanessa O'Brien, Ron Kretsch, Mark Overlow, Jim Janek, and Erin Schechtman. Pretentious Artists of Tremont with Tim Herron, Jim Gerber, Larry Zuzik, and Jeff Scolaro and Utrekkers from Utrecht Art Supplies with Beth A. The Pink Eye Book of Collage Release Party! 4.30

Pink Eye is back messing with the Cleveland art scene...and has collected over 150 works of art for this show—should be one of the most memorable art exhibitions of this year in Cleveland.

Come on out to Wall Eye Gallery (Detroit and W. 54th) and join the Pink Eyes in celebration of their move from magazines to limited edition art books. Their first book release, The Pink Eye Book of Collage, features over 50 local artists’ collages in full glossy color. The opening will exhibit the works selected for the book (plus many more) as part of a large (over 150 pieces) salon styled show. Many well known local artists will be taking part in this 'exhibition of awesomeness', a must see for any fan of collage art. So come early – art will be sold affordably on a “grab and go” basis, and leave late – there will be live psyche-rock music provided by Freedom and Umm Qasr. The fun doesn’t stop there…the after party will be moving two blocks down the street to the Happy Dog (5801 Detroit Avenue) for more live sonic debauchery supplied by Hot Cha Cha, Film Strip and Beardo Bandini.

Exhibition takes place from 6PM—11PM Friday April 30th

MorrisonDance at DanceWorks 4.15—4.18

MorrisonDance will take you through several mysterious worlds: real, interpreted, imagined, ancient and modern. Mysterious will feature dances celebrating the vibrancy of the Etruscans, the heart and soul of Roma dancing, the quirky possibilities of imagined cone creatures, and the uninhibited passion of communicating through movement.

Mysterious will include a new collaboration between Artistic Director Sarah Morrison and husband and internationally collected artist, Scott Radke. Featuring cone-headed characters adorning tutus this dance will unfold in a fashion that only Radke's world can provoke. Additionally, there will be an expansion of Morrison's Mi Larthia, originally presented in Castiglioncello, Italy and inspired by travels through Etruria following the descriptions of D.H. Lawrence. A presentation of the solo work Uninhibited will be presented by guest artist Jennifer Sandoval who recently returned to the area from Chicago. Finally, the concert will include energetic dances featuring the Roma culture shared by Turkish guest artist Sevi Bayraktar whose appearance has been supported through a residency with Young Audiences and funded by the Cleveland Foundation Fusion Project.

Chuck Runs Boston Marathon for a Cause 4.19

Hi all, Jack St. John's brother-in-law, Chuck is running the Boston Marathon on April 19, 2010 raising funds for Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Ohio.

"I will be running in the upcoming 114th Boston Marathon, and have decided to take advantage of this opportunity to raise funds for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Ohio. Prader-Willi Syndrome occurs in 1 ot of every 15,000 births, and is the most commonly known genetic cause for obesity in children. The main characteristic of the syndrome is hyperphagia, or an extreme, constant feeling of hunger that is never satisfied. To date there are no medications, appetite suppressants, or surgeries that have been safe or successful in 'treating' hyperphagia in children with PWS.

The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Ohio began in 1986, and in February of 1987 the organization became the 21st chapter under PWSA(USA). The Ohio organization is managed by a board of volunteers, and is dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of Prader-Willi Syndrome. Research in this area continues, and is supported by the fundraising such as this, and by those who donate their efforts!

This secure website makes it very efficient and easy to support PWSA of Ohio through on-line donations. If, however, you would rather send a check, that works too (PWSA of Ohio, 4075 W. 226th, Fairwiew Park, OH 44126.) Any amount sent in that way will be added to this page. Please make checks out to "PWSA of Ohio".

I am excited to be able to run Boston for such a great cause. Thanks for your support in helping me reach this goal!"

Chuck
