WinterFest and Lantern Parade this Sunday 12. 2

THIS Sunday is the WinterFest on the Circle. Museums will be FREE all day. This is a good time to visit the Botanical Gardens if you haven't been. The day culminates with the very cool Lantern Parade put on by the museum (kind of a Winter Parade-the-Circle). It goes on at DUSK and lasts for only a half hour or so. Well worth checking out.

Little Italy ArtWalk this weekend 11.30, 12.1 & 12.2

Hi all, it's time for Little Italy's Holiday ArtWalk this Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Stop by the Tricia Kaman studio in the Schoolhouse where we do our 'thang' and say 'hi' to Tricia. Many galleries on Murray Hill Road and Mayfield will be open. Be sure to stop at the Verne Gallery next to Valentino's, too. Great Japanese-inspired prints.

Tiny Alice featured at John Bassette memorial concert

From George Woideck: 'Cleveland singer/songwriter and independent label pioneer John Bassette passed away just one year ago after a long illness. For years John was a fixture in local music circles and was most notably identified with Hessler Road in University Circle. Lake Erie College in Painesville Ohio is presenting the first annual John Bassette Memorial Folk Festival at Morley Music Hall on the Lake Erie campus this Wednesday November 14 at 8pm. The concert, featuring performers Alex Bevan and the Tiny Alice band from the 70's is free and open to the public. Both Alex and Tiny Alice will be performing music by John Bassette as well as other original and traditional tunes. As a member of Tiny Alice and a friend of John's I'm inviting you to join us for an evening of great live music.'

Order The Waiting Child Fund coffee and help a child

Here's an easy way to help the non-profit The Waiting Child Fund. Order some of their tasty coffee. The Waiting Child Fund House Blend is a carefully balanced mix of lightly roasted Guatemalan, Brazilian, and Colombian coffee beans. This is a medium-bodied coffee that is wonderfully rich in flavor with a hint of a chocolate finish. Their House Blend is a wonderful way to start your day.

Here is the direct link to the store: http://www.waitingchildfund.org/coffee

The Waiting Child Fund is a non-profit organization that was founded in April of 2005. Their mission is to promote the creation of partnerships and collaborations between agencies by raising community awareness and funds to facilitate the adoption of children with special needs.
