Sparx Gallery Hop

Ohio's Largest Art Walk!
September 16 - 17, 2006
Saturday, 1 - 7 pm and Sunday 1 - 5 pm

The weekend of September 16-17 marks the fourth annual Sparx Gallery Hop, presented by National City, where the work of more than 500 artists will be accessible to the public from inside galleries, studios, major festivals, and art institutions. It's considered Ohio's largest art walk because of it's geographic size and large number of featured venues across the City Center, Tremont, Superior Corridor, University Circle and Little Italy neighborhoods. Read on to see how you can HOP TO IT!

FREE PARKING:
Start at the GCAG Festival in downtown's Galleria at Erieview, since they're open earlier than all the other sites. From there, ride any of the color-coded trolleys to more art venues.

If you are coming from the East or West side and prefer to start hopping closer to home, limited free parking is available in Tremont at Grace Hospital on W. 14th and Pilgrim Congregational Church, in the Superior Corridor at The Plain Dealer Building, and in Little Italy at The Sculpture Center on W. 123rd. Then catch a trolley at a nearby trolley stop to explore the neighborhoods.

FREE EXHIBITS:

27th Annual Murray Hill Art Walk Galleries
17th Annual CMA Chalk Festival
8th Annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival
Open studios in Tremont and Superior Corridor
Live entertainment on the sidewalks by our Street Beats artists
$5 TROLLEY PASSES:
Our easy access trolley passes are good for the entire weekend, and include the ability to jump on all Neighborhood Trolleys or Express Trolleys, no matter where you originally parked. Passes can be purchased at any of the 15 trolley stops found across the event footprint. Those under age 14 ride for free.
