Dave & Phil Alvin & The Guilty Ones 3.7, 8:30 PM

As a continuation of the Beachland Ballroom's 15th Anniversary weekend, they’re pleased to have a Grammy-award winning musicians take the stage! Dave and Phil Alvin are the masterminds behind the highly influential roots rock/R+B band The Blasters, which developed quite the cult following in the eighties. When The Blasters disbanded in ’86, the two brothers took very different paths. While Dave became one of the pivotal founders of the current Americana music scene and pursued a solo career, Phil went to graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in mathematics and artificial intelligence. In 2014, the brothers released Common Ground, a selection of Big Bill Broonzy covers, as a duo. It was their first studio collaboration since the mid-80s.
