The publishers of Pinkeye Magazine are going to re-structure as a non-profit over the next few months and hope to start publishing again in the Spring. Til then "we're really going to focus on the website, so check it out from time to time. We're also looking for more people to contribute, so if you or anyone else has stories, reviews, or any other cool stuff — send it our way!"

Burning River Roller Girls: Black & Blue 4 Nov. 7th

The Burning River Roller Girls return with a special exhibition, Black & Blue 4 – Whip It Good!in their new home, the Wolstein Center Saturday, November 7th.

Skaters are selected from all four home teams (Rolling Pin-Ups, Cleveland Steamers, Hellbombers and Hard Knockers) and mixed for a two-team match-up, Black vs. Blue. During halftime, the league’s newest recruits (AKA Fresh Meat) must pass an annual rite of passage – full contact musical chairs.

Giving the classic game a violent, on-skates twist, the Fresh Meat will prove if they can skate with the big girls during this no-holds barred fight to the finish that you won’t want to miss. Will the Black team keep their trophy? Will there be a blue team upset this year? Who will be crowned Full Contact Musical Chair Queen? Find out on Saturday, November 7 at the Wolstein Center.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the bout (consisting of two 30-minute periods and a 20-minute halftime) starts rolling at 6 p.m. Check back for ticket information soon!

Call For Entries: SHOPAROONI ART BOMB Deadline 11.29

Shoparooni presents its Second Annual Art Bomb Holiday Shop!!

The Shoparooni Art Bomb opens December 4th and runs through January 1st featuring "giftable" art and handcraft from local designers and artists:

"We're currently accepting goods from artists/designers/makers of things to be sold at Shoparooni throughout the holiday shopping season. THIS IS NOT A GALLERY SHOW!! Although we will be presenting the show in a gallery setting, the emphasis is to give folks an alternative to boring gifts and get them to give the gift of art! I mean, your six foot tall self portrait may be amazing, but noone's gonna give it to their granny for Christmas.

Jewelry, clothing, prints, ceramics, candles, soaps, plush, knits, bags, stencil art, reclaimed vintage, and other handmade or small run goods will be considered. Pretty much anything goes and the more variety, the better! Our main focus is on CLEVELAND artists and designers but we will accept stuff from artists EVERYWHERE!"
