Art House Winter 2013: Clay for Kids 1.5

Help cure your kid's Winter 'cabin fever' by signing them up for Art House's Clay for Kids with instructor Billy Ritter, who will encourage your child to learn about handbuilding techniques like coiling, pinching and slab building while also using texture and history to create imaginative artwork. All art will be glazed and can be picked up at a later date. Saturdays from10AM–12PM from January 5–26 (4 weeks.)

Jack St John @ Third Fridays at 78th St. Studios

Jack St John will be displaying some of his work in the Eileen Dorsey Painting Studio (1st Level, by SMARTspace) during the December 21st THIRD FRIDAYS at 78th Street Studios. Stop by if you'll be in Gordon Square or Tremont neighborhoods.

SantaCon 2012 12.8 6:30PM

It's time again for the Cleveland SantaCon 2012. The parade-meets-bar-crawl will feature dozens of partyers dressed as Santa Claus as they hit spots on West 25th Street. Full outfits are mandatory (but NEED NOT be Santa.)

While the goal is to create "Santarchy," there are some rules; Santas are encouraged to bring presents for kids. They're sworn to pay their bar tabs. And they're warned that they'd better not act like some drunken Grinch.

SantaCon gets rolling at 6:30PM at Bier Markt, 1948 West 25th St.

The Booker T. Cleveland Society for the Learned strives to unite through books. Inspired by the Book Club of Paris, its rules are simple: Bring a book that you have already read, and be prepared to swap it with another member of the society. Friday, Dec. 7th at 6:30PM, will be a night of fun, conversation, and new friends.
