El Carnicero presents Olde Wrestling’s Speakeasy Spectacular! Friday, May 8th 2015 at Mahall's 20 Lanes in Lakewood.

Huzzah!!! Olde Wrestling is making its RETURN to Mahall's for a night of rough n' tumble, elbow smashin', hip tossin', rip roarin, slam bang style of wrestling! 
We're taking Mahall’s back to roaring’ 20s and strongly encourage everyone to join in the fun and dress in vintage apparel. Bring the feather boas and flapper dress. Bring the boater hats and a pair of high waisted slacks!

You’ll witness the world champion of wrestling, luchadors, bare knuckle brawlers, strongmen, a lion tamer, and the long awaited debut of THE BEARDED LADY! As well as the dynamic vaudeville duo, Pinch and Squeal!

Urban Sketchers at MOCA Cleveland 4.26, 2PM

Join Maureen Ryan and the Cleveland Urban Sketchers for their monthly sketch outing at MOCA Cleveland. The weather may be chilly but mild, so it is sketcher's choice to sketch outside or inside. If you do decide to sketch inside MOCA, please be prepared to pay the admission fee. Sketchers of all levels are more than welcomed to join this event. Be prepared with pencils for inside the museum as museums usually frown on ink and charcoal due to the possibilities of a mess or even worse, damage to artwork. There is ample paid parking in the surrounding university and museum parking structures as well as limited street parking. It is easily accessible by the Healthline and the rapid line. Meet at the exterior of the building at the rear entrance (not facing Mayfield Rd/Euclid Ave).

A reminder that Majority Rising at the Artists Archives, 1834 E. 123rd St., runs through Saturday, May 2nd. Curated by figurative painter Judy Takács, who is also featured, this show is a reflection of female artists of the Artists Archives who have used women as their primary subject matter over the course of their careers.

The artists in the show are: Judy Takács, Kathleen McKenna, Lee Heinen, Marsha Sweet, Shirley Aley Campbell, and Marilyn Szalay.

Woman in Gold Opens 4.10

Woman In Gold opens Friday, April 10th at the Capitol Theatre, Cedar Lee Theatre, and Chagrin Cinemas. Sixty years after she fled Vienna during World War II, an elderly Jewish woman, Maria Altmann, starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt's famous painting 'The Lady in Gold'. She embarks upon a major battle which takes her  to the heart of the Austrian establishment and the U.S. Supreme Court, and forces her to confront difficult truths about the past along the way.

Details: Work together to make ceramic art to celebrate your family. Wallhangings, outdoor art, and other decorative pieces can be explored. All artwork will be fired in the kiln to create long lasting memories.
