Bob Peck's In Orbit now at the Lava Lounge


Cleveland painter Bob Peck's series In Orbit is now on display at the Lava Lounge. Originally a graffiti artist, there are still streetwise flourishes in his pieces. The exhibition runs through July 7 at 1307 Auburn Ave. The Rupnik Gallery mounted the show.

Call for Authors: Larchmere Festival 4.2 10AM—5PM

Loganberry Books (13015 Larchmere Boulevard in Shaker Heights) is seeking authors to participate in its Author Alley event as part of the annual Larchmere Festival on July 2nd from noon – 4PM (the festival itself runs from 10AM – 5PM).

The good folks at Art House Inc. will be in charge of entertaining, educational and artistic activities for the little folks. Mask making and mural drawing will part of the activities, right on location where the real mural will be installed in September. (Hours: Noon to 4PM.)

Coventry Street Fair this SUNDAY, 6.26 Noon—6PM

Changing things up a bit from years past, the Coventry Street Fair will be THIS Sunday, June 26th from Noon to 6PM. A great family event, made even more family-friendly by not being on a week night. CMA's Summer Solstice Party Sat., 6.25 6PM—2AM

For a third year, The Cleveland Museum of Art celebrates the beginning of summer's long days and hot nights at this all-night party. Saturday, June 25th, from 6PM to 2 AM.

Globetrot via performances on the main stage by musicians from around the world. Stroll the museum's galleries into the wee hours. As always, expect a few surprises in store for party-goers throughout the evening.

9th Annual Waterloo Arts Fest 6.25 Noon

The 9th Annual Waterloo Arts Fest 
kicks off June 25th at noon. More than 10,000 people are expected to spend the day on Waterloo seeing and making art, catching live performances, shopping an array of vendors, and noshing on local eats, as well as visiting the one-of-a-kind businesses that make this burgeoning district unique. Dennis Yurich's band Queue Up is playing at 1:30 at the Zaller Gallery courtyard.

22nd Annual Parade the Circle 6.11 11AM

The 22nd Annual Parade the Circle Celebration will take place this Saturday, June 11th.

Bring the family to University Circle to enjoy a FREE celebration of the creative spirit. Festivities begin at 11AM, parade at Noon (sharp) and entertainment, food and activities for the whole family in Circle Village until 4PM.

THIS FREE COMMUNITY ARTS PARADE is presented annually by the Cleveland Museum of Art. International and national guest artists join Greater Cleveland artists, families, schools and community groups in a spectacular display of bright costumes, giant puppets, stilt-dancers, handmade masks and colorful floats (ALL people-powered.).

Cuyahoga Community College’s Digital Media Group is having their 1st annual year end show. The group consists of Photography and Design majors from Tri-C.

The show titled Luminoso will be held at 78th Street Studios, 1300 West 78th Street Cleveland, Oh. 44102. The Studios are located at the west end of the Gordon Square Arts District in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood. All work showcased at the event will also be available for purchase, cash and carry.
