Tiempo Libre performs live at
Severance Hall on Saturday, October 24 in a concert to benefit the
Cleveland Institute of Music. This up-and-coming Latin jazz group will be warming up for their performance on October 27 on
ABC's Dancing with the Stars; on Oct. 2 they appeared on
The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. In Cleveland they will perform with the
CIM Orchestra under the baton of
Carl Topilow. Rumba Sinfónica was written for the group by Venezuelan composer,
Ricardo Lorenz who will be in attendance at the concert. To end the concert, they will perform a solo Timba set. This group of young, conservatory-trained artists are bringing audiences out of their seats and onto the dance floor—all over the world. Their latest CD is Bach in Havana.
