CIM benefit concert with Tiempo Libre 10.24

Tiempo Libre performs live at Severance Hall on Saturday, October 24 in a concert to benefit the Cleveland Institute of Music. This up-and-coming Latin jazz group will be warming up for their performance on October 27 on ABC's Dancing with the Stars; on Oct. 2 they appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. In Cleveland they will perform with the CIM Orchestra under the baton of Carl Topilow. Rumba Sinfónica was written for the group by Venezuelan composer, Ricardo Lorenz who will be in attendance at the concert. To end the concert, they will perform a solo Timba set. This group of young, conservatory-trained artists are bringing audiences out of their seats and onto the dance floor—all over the world. Their latest CD is Bach in Havana.

Tickets to the October 24 concert are $25 and $35. Call 216.231.1111 or online at severancehall.com.
