Art House: Jan/Feb Classes

Circus Time: Kid's Clay ages 9-12
Thursdays, January 22─February 12.
No experience necessary.

Elizabeth Emery 5:30PM─7PM
Make a circus in clay. Play with clay while learning the proper techniques for creating sculptures and usable pots. Decorate what you've made with stamps, paints, and glazes.
$75, materials included.
Elizabeth Emery holds a BA in Art History and both BFA & MFA in ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Her work looks at color, texture, and our day to day interactions with one another.

Wild Printing Class; Valentine's Day Cards: Printmaking ages 6-9
Saturdays, January 24─February 7
No printing experience necessary.
Claudio Orso 11AM─1PM.
In this exciting and wild class, create your own unique Valentine's Day cards for your family and friends.
Experiment with a variety of printing techniques; stencils, foam relief, glue-gun relief, plexiglass engraving, and 'chine colle'.
$70, supplies included
Claudio Orso-Giacone is an Italian artist and teacher who has lived all over the world. He now lives in Oberlin, Ohio. Claudio has received the Ohio Individual Fellowship, the Ohio Arts Council Dresden Exchange, and Nord Family Foundation Grant. His interests are extremely varied ranging from community parades, barbeque, pastry, film, and writing. His prints are marketed by Cannonball Press Brooklyn, NY.

Melissa Muir
$70, supplies for the first class are provided
Learn how to make earrings, necklaces, and bracelets using simple beading techniques. Accessorize your own wardrobe without spending lots of money. Beaded jewelry also makes great gifts.
Melissa Muir is a jewelry artist living and working in Norton Ohio. She has recently published jewelry making articles in the Art Jewelry Magazine and her works have been included in the book "1000 Jewelry Inspirations." Melissa currently teaches at her studio in Norton and various locations in the Rocky River and Uniontown areas. She has recently finished her studies in metalsmithing program at the University of Akron.
