Kent Folk Festival Thu 6.5–Sat 6.14

Della Mae
The former Kent State Folk Festival, now the Kent Folk Festival, it’s entirely under the management of the Western Reserve Folk Arts Association, the nonprofit group that runs the Kent Stage.

This year’s festival will take place at the Kent Stage June 5-14, with an event there every evening. While a few holes remain, the wide-ranging lineup already includes new female bluegrass quintet Della Mae (pictured, Thu 6/5); alt-country band The Mavericks  (Fri 6/6); bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys (Sat 6/7); old folkie John Sebastian (Sun 6/8); young roots music bands Cabinet and Driftwood (Mon 6/9); Americana band the Black Lillies (Wed 6/11); singer-songwriters David Wilcox and Seth Glier (Thu 6/12); and veteran folkies Livingston Taylor and Cheryl Wheeler (Sat 6/14). On Fri 6/13, there’ll be a multi-act bill of regional artists, still being put together.

Stay tuned for announcements of additional acts.
