Transformer Station Wed. Concerts: Novalima 7.31

City Stages is a new platform from which the Cleveland Museum of Art brings world-class musical artists to Cleveland in non-traditional settings. This ambitious vision is a substantial undertaking, meant to demonstrate how the Museum can be present in the life of Clevelanders, wherever they are. Every Wednesday evening celebrate community with free concerts (starting 7:30PM) and films on the lawn of the Transformer Station (sundown, approximately 9:15pm).

The CMA Ohio City Stages festival area, on 29th street from Detroit to Clinton Avenue, will be closed to traffic. FREE parking will be available in the marked parking lot at Lutheran Hospital on West 25th Street. Audience members are welcome to bring blankets and chairs for seating.
THIS WEEK from Peru, Novalima marries Afro-Peruvian rhythms with sophisticated funk and groove, making the “New Lima.” The high-energy performances of this seven-piece band set new standards in contemporary music from Latin America.
