Revive and Renew Opening at Morgan 8.1, 7–9PM

The Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation’s Eastern Paper Studio presents Revive and Renew: Contemporary Artists & Eastern Papers.

Running August 1st through September 20th, 2014, this exhibition features 13 North American artists, showcasing the use of handmade Eastern papers and their allied fibers as versatile artistic materials. Revive and Renew is the first annual exhibition presented by The Morgan’s newly established Eastern Paper Studio and focuses on traditional Asian papermaking techniques as well as the contemporary innovations by a group of renowned artists.

Participating artists include Tom Balbo, Velma Bolyard, Melissa Jay Craig, Tatiana Ginsberg, Yuko Kimura, Aimee Lee, Bill Lorton, Pam McKee, Julie McLaughlin, Emma Nishimura, Bridget O’Malley, Jill Powers, and Julie Sirek.
